儀
ceremony, appearance
儀 is composed of the radical 人 (person) and 義 (justice). 義 originally meant ritual norms or ceremonial standards. Later, as 義 developed other meanings, the character 儀 was separately created to take its place. A person’s conduct must conform to proper standards; otherwise, one would be no different from beasts.
