urge, incite

勇 is composed of 甬 and 心(heart). 甬 is the picture of a bucket, which has the meaning of containing and filling, 心 here means thought or mood, when someone fills with thought, he wants to urge others to agree with him. On the other hand, 恿 has had the same meaning with 勇 before, thought and knowledge are also kinds of power, which make us brace.
