思 is composed of 心 and 田, 心 is a heart while 田 in here does not mean farmland. Actually, 田is the picture of a skull, it should be 囟 but was misunderstood as 田 due to the similarity of their shapes in the past. Ancient Chinese thought that both brain and heart were the organs of thinking.
