熯 is composed of the BuShou of 火(fire) and the variant of 堇 . 堇 is the picture of a human sacrifice who wears jade ornaments burning in fire, in ancient China, when people meet drought, they will burn human sacrifice to beg for rain, so 熯 has the meaning of dryness and burning.
