禔 is composed of the BuShou of 示(to reveal) and 是. 是 depicts a foot walking toward the sun, which has the meaning of going upward the light or something good, 示 is the picture of an altar, which is used to describe something about the supreme being(god). Ancient Chinese believe that both disaster and happiness are determine by God, so 禔 means well-being.
