輀 is composed of 車(a car) and而(the picture of human facial hair). The smoothness of wheels is important for the running of a car, so 輀 is used to describe something soft and smooth. On the other hand, with a view to mourning the dead, hearse need to move slowly and softly, so 輀 means hearse.
