霝 is composed of 雨(rain) and three 口(mouth). 霝 depicts several witches praying(singing) for rain, so 霝 is used to describe something spiritual, but now we use 靈 instead but seldom use 霝. On the other hand, 霝 also means the lattice of the window, when it rains(雨) , people will close the windows. Before the invention of window glass, as substitute, ancient Chinese used porous(口) wooden lattice which was covered with paper. Now we use 櫺 or 欞 instead.
