The story of 霜

frost

霜 is composed of 雨 (rain) and 相 (mutually, each other). 相 depicts an eye looking at a tree, 雨 refers to the natural phenomena related to water. 霜 is ice crystals forming a white deposit which usually can be seen on the surface of tree.
