奐 is composed of 廾 (two hands), 穴 (cave), and 人 (person). 廾 is a pictograph of two hands, so 奐 conveys the scene of two hands pulling a person out from a cave. A person who has lived in a cave for many years, suddenly pulled out into the bright world outside, would be filled with wonder at how rich and colorful the world is. From this, 奐 extended to mean grand, magnificent, splendid, or beautiful.
