賁 is composed of 卉(flowers and plants) and 貝(shell). Both flower and shell are the ornaments of ancient Chinese, so 賁 means beautiful ornament. On the other hand, when someone see beautiful ornaments, his joy will spout like fountain, he is full of energy.
