郭
郭 is composed of 享 (enjoy) and the radical 邑 (city). 享 is a pictograph of an ancient ancestral temple, while 邑 means a city. Both require protection. Therefore, 郭 is used to mean the outer city wall that protects the ancestral temple and the city.
