帥
commander, handsome
帥 has on its left side a pictograph of a hand holding a military tally or command token, and on its right side a military banner. Both are symbols of an army commander, so the original meaning of 帥 is a military commander. Because army commanders appear imposing and majestic, 帥 also came to mean handsome or good-looking in appearance.
