饒 is composed of the BuShou of 食 (eat) and 堯 (embankment). 堯 is a protruding mound, which means high place, and extends to the meaning of rich and abundant, so 饒 is interpreted as having abundant food.
If a person lives a prosperous life, he should have a heart of forgiveness.
