㐌
extend, prolong
㐌 is composed of 也 (snake, also) with two additional strokes above it, forming a pictograph of a snake, where the two strokes likely represent the snake’s tongue, making it a variant of 也. The snake’s long, slender body implies extension or stretching. This meaning was later taken over by 迤. Nowadays, 㐌 is not used independently and only serves as a component in other characters.
